    Puducherry

Puducherry remained a French possession in India until 1954. It is a city on the Gulf of Bengal which has conserved and carefully maintained its colonial architecture. The city was laid out according to the traditional French grid pattern and therefore has square blocks with perpendicular, tree lined streets. Many of the roads preserve their original French names and colonial villas, while the old city center has kept its identity perfectly intact. For the illumination of the old city center, the bespoke cast iron lamp post 1016 has been chosen with LED lamp ‘Light 851’ (3000K). A classical design perfectly linked to the city architecture.
