Sion Fort

The Fort overlooking the park’s hill was built by the British East India Company between 1669 and 1677 and divided the British and Portuguese parts. The hill is covered in lush vegetation and was recently transformed into a garden by the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Udyan. The entrance to the park has been illuminated with ‘Light 106’ luminaires positioned on the columns flanking the gate.
